This is not merely a technological change, but we explained that tourism and MICE marketing are in a transitional period where the landscape could shift dramatically.

Tourism Marketing: how Must it Evolve?

It is no longer possible to expect results by simply executing advertising budgets as in the past.
Since the tourism and MICE industries ultimately sell experiences, storytelling content that resonates with customers becomes the core competitive advantage.

Based on rapidly changing trends, we introduced how the culture and stories of Daegu can be attractively conveyed on the global stage, how they can be promoted in the digital space, and the marketing changes that need to be prepared for in the future.

‘AI’ and ‘Big Data’: Rapidly Emerging as Essential Marketing Tools

One of the points I emphasized most in this lecture was marketing utilizing AI and Big Data.
Indeed, with over 80% of content produced in the global market now utilizing AI, this year marks a significant turning point.

Therefore, going forward, we must actively leverage AI, and I introduced several practical tips for creating customized content based on market needs obtained from big data.

Concluding the Lecture,

Daegu already possesses sufficient potential as a leading MICE city, centered around EXCO, and it is a city with many elements that could elevate its status further with just a boost in marketing.

The member companies I met at this forum also deeply resonated with the idea that the combination of AI and marketing is not an option but a mandatory task.
