[Korea MICE Association] Delivered the 2023 MICE Performance Marketing Course.
On October 4th and 6th, after the Chuseok holiday, I delivered the “2023 MICE Performance Marketing Course” over two days.
This course, organized by <Korea MICE Association>, allowed for thorough preparation due to ample lead time.
The MICE industry has undergone significant changes.
Previously, most events were held on-site, but due to restrictions on offline events during the COVID-19 pandemic,
many events were replaced by online conferences or conducted as hybrid events combining online and offline formats.
Consequently, the demand for digital marketing has steadily grown in both the MICE and PCO fields.
A Course Prepared with both Theory and Practical Application.
A key feature of this course was the opportunity to experience both theory and practical application.
The limitation of training conducted for a general audience is the lack of practical exercises that can be applied to real-world tasks.
Corporate lectures for practitioners are designed from the outset to improve practical skills, allowing for immediate real-world improvements after consultation.
However, institutional lectures often focus on delivering insights, making it challenging to apply what’s learned directly to practical work.
This course, however, focused on insights into Google SEO and Naver Blog Marketing on the first day,
and on the second day, the training centered on Google Ads training for practical application, thus providing a curriculum that allowed participants to experience both theory and real-world practice.
For SEO, practical application is limited if you don’t have an active Naver blog or WordPress site.
However, since anyone can easily create a Google Ads account, we enhanced practical understanding by adding a curriculum that involved actually setting up YouTube and search ads.
Here’s an Introduction to the Content Covered in this Course.

This course, while sharing the same curriculum, had separate tracks prepared for <incumbent workers> and <job seekers>.
Accordingly, the training was delivered separately, focusing on practical know-how for professionals and job search/pre-learning strategies for job seekers.
Fortunately, since the participants were somewhat divided, there were no major difficulties in conducting the training.
It seemed that those who were concurrently working in the field were more actively engaged in the overall atmosphere.
