Why is a Global Marketing Lecture Necessary?

The flow of the “global marketing lectures” I’m currently conducting has changed significantly from before. In the past, global marketing primarily revolved around participating in overseas exhibitions and trade shows.
Also, overseas marketing used to be centered on print advertisements or cable TV abroad, but nowadays, most overseas marketing is conducted online.
Representative examples would be LinkedIn marketing or marketing utilizing Google Ads.

In particular, Google, along with Facebook, is the most famous advertising platform worldwide, but when it comes to overseas marketing and B2B marketing, the number of experts drastically decreases.
General digital marketers often have little experience in B2B marketing, and almost no experience in overseas marketing.
Ultimately, when overseas marketing and B2B marketing are combined, the reality is that there are fewer experts who can skillfully handle digital.

But is overseas marketing any different? Ultimately, it’s not.
By understanding the market and platforms, you can acquire high-quality buyer inquiries without investing a large amount of money.
This method has already been sufficiently verified through numerous lectures and practical applications, and many companies are still obtaining overseas buyer information through this method.

This time, I’d like to introduce the global marketing lecture I conducted at the Korea Optometric Industry Promotion Agency.
This lecture was an encore session after the Global Marketing Training for Small and Medium-sized Manufacturers held at Daegu Health College, so I added new 2024 marketing trends to the previous curriculum.

Who Attended this Global Marketing Lecture?

This lecture was conducted for CEOs in the Daegu region who are engaged in the business of sunglasses and eyeglass manufacturing.
When conducting a lecture, it is very important to understand the needs of the students.
CEOs usually manage tasks such as sales, manufacturing, and administration comprehensively, so their engagement often decreases when delving deeply into practical matters.

Also, since a manager’s position is to oversee and make decisions rather than to perform practical work, it is better to conduct lectures focused on “insights” that can help with various decision-making processes within the company, which leads to higher engagement.

Therefore, the overall flow of the lecture was insight-oriented, with practical demonstrations only for essential parts.
Fortunately, the overall balance was good, and the feedback on “engagement” and “concentration” was positive.

What Was the most Impressive Part of this Global Marketing Training?

The most engaging part of this curriculum was about how to seize the “golden timing” in overseas B2B sales.
Overseas marketing is often evaluated as difficult for sales due to time zone constraints. However, this cannot be a fundamental barrier.
This is because the time difference for overseas sales is the same for everyone, meaning it’s the same condition for other businesses as well.
Therefore, this training introduced “sales know-how” using data to overcome the time difference in overseas sales.

And the most popular item in overseas marketing is content about “Google SEO”, which can expose your webpage to 249 countries worldwide without advertising.
Through numerous Google SEO lectures, I have emphasized the importance of search exposure optimization, and recently, as the trend of reducing marketing costs within companies has become widespread,
the need for “search exposure optimization” that can expose one’s webpage without investing in advertising costs is increasing.

In fact, in overseas marketing, LinkedIn, Google Ads, and Facebook are known as mainstream media,
but the first thing that needs improvement, and also the most effective, is search traffic through Google SEO.
In this training, I actually suggested improvements from an SEO perspective by measuring the webpage speed of some CEOs.

Since this training was held at the end of the year, it was conducted in the form of a “trend report” to grasp the overall marketing trends for 2024.
