How Was the “Global Marketing Training” Conducted this Time?
This time, I gave a lecture at Daegu Health College on the topic of “Global Eyewear Marketing”.
The main attendees were representatives of eyewear manufacturing and distribution businesses in Buk-gu, Daegu, and students from the Department of Optometry at Daegu Health College.
Daegu has various manufacturing companies, including textiles, general manufacturing, and home appliances, most of which often face difficulties in pioneering overseas markets.
Until now, many people thought that overseas marketing necessarily meant going abroad, but in this lecture, I introduced various software tools that can be used for overseas marketing.
Since I focused on introducing tools that are easy to use, with a certain level of willingness,
anyone can easily venture into global marketing, and I explained the content in as much detail as possible to facilitate this.

A Curriculum Proven through Various Lectures over Time
The creation of this global marketing training dates back two years.
At that time, I was handling marketing for various clients at a B2B marketing agency, but I couldn’t find suitable experts for digital overseas marketing.
Many of those introduced as global marketing experts were not focused on digital, but rather arranged overseas exhibitions or acted as bridges connecting local cable advertising or print media.
These overseas marketing strategies had several problems.
1. First, at that time, events like overseas exhibitions and fairs were blocked due to COVID-19.
2. Furthermore, it was difficult to make revisions after an advertisement was executed.
With digital marketing, continuous improvements can be made by monitoring ad performance and trends, but when using overseas cable or media, it’s difficult to make changes once executed,
leading to a regret that it was not possible to respond flexibly to market conditions.
Eventually, I soon realized that there were almost no experts who could do overseas marketing digitally, so I learned various marketing tools and applied them in practice.
After many trials and improvements, I realized how to actually acquire customer databases through overseas marketing,
and organizing the methods applied in practice to educate Kotra members about overseas marketing was the first step.
Subsequently, the fact that overseas marketing could be done digitally without investing significant costs was quite attractive to small and medium-sized enterprises,
which led me to meet numerous representatives of domestic SMEs through various institutional lectures as shown below.

What Content Was Primarily Covered in this Lecture?
The content covered in this lecture included a comprehensive understanding of B2B marketing, search advertising using Google Ads,
and how to expose your webpage on “Google”, which is used worldwide without advertising costs, and finally, the curriculum was structured with LinkedIn marketing, which is indispensable for overseas marketing.
In global marketing training curricula, “LinkedIn” is often a main focus,
but in reality, LinkedIn is effective when a salesperson’s network or infrastructure is established and product branding is somewhat developed.
Furthermore, the approach to advertising is not to market to people who are interested in your service, but rather to contact customers in the form of “outbound sales” through LinkedIn Sales Navigator or messages, which makes it less efficient than search-based advertising.
Therefore, I recommend setting up search-based advertising first, then LinkedIn, and over time, optimizing search exposure through Google SEO lectures.
The biggest advantage of global B2B marketing is that competitors often do not utilize digital channels.
In fact, very few companies, whether domestic or international, attempt overseas B2B marketing through digital marketing.
Given this situation, simply entering the digital marketing ecosystem can yield relatively high marketing results compared to the investment.
For these reasons, if you are a B2B company considering overseas exports, I recommend quickly building an online marketing foundation.
Even if you only effectively build what was introduced in this lecture, you will likely be able to easily create a structure that generates high-quality customer inquiries.
